The Lotus is calling for all available Tenno!

The Lotus is leading a group of Tenno called Alpha Team, to raid hidden valuable supply caches elsewhere in the sector and needs your help to provide support by distracting enemies.

As your enemies advance they will attempt to cut off life support to the sector by draining the ship’s oxygen supply by the second. Fear not, the Lotus will drop supplemental oxygen supplies to buy you time. Enemies also carry personal oxygen supplies that drop as you eliminate them and will help replenish the sector’s oxygen level.

Your objective is to activate oxygen capsules to maintain the sector’s oxygen levels for as long as possible. If oxygen levels expire before the first supply cache is raided-or all players die, the mission fails.

After each successful raid of a supply cache by Alpha Team, the Lotus will distribute wealth in the form of mods, resources, credits and other valuable items.

Enemies get progressively difficult the longer you survive. Fight your way through three tiers of enemies to obtain rewards, survive even longer to earn Leaderboard status.

These awards will be handed out after the event ends. More information on the Equilibrium mod and individual award tier requirements will be revealed on Friday.

So yes, there is a leaderboard this time with trophies. I expect a much better participation percentage this time! >

This event starts at 12 PM (noon) Eastern time on Friday 8/30/2013 and runs until 12 PM (noon) on Tuesday 9/3/2013.

In a nutshell (from what I gathered, anyway), you are to do these alert missions (they're presumably repeatable) and fight tiers of enemies. Collect the oxygen capsules that they drop, and go on as long as you can!

Individual rewards include a new mod and a new skin for the Strun along with the standard event badge and trophies.

Use this thread to set up teams and coordinate! Let's get the damn trophy this time!

There doesn't seem to be indication of whether or not this is a faction-specific event, so we can only assume that we'll be facing all three factions. Be sure to prepare your loadouts accordingly.

Remember that squads facing Infested should have a Vauban with Bastille and that squads facing Corpus/Grineer should have a Frost with Snow Globe.

Squads that mean to go for as long as possible should have a skilled Trinity player with maxed Energy Vampire, Blessing, Focus, Streamline, and Continuity AT LEAST. ...I guess that means me. :I The only other person I've ever seen use Trinity is Lance.

By the start of the event, my best frames will be Saryn, Frost, and Trinity (but I have every frame), and I'll be available basically the entire event.

REVISION OF STRATEGY FOR INFESTED MISSIONS (and possibly ALL missions):

(alternately, 3x Ember 1x Mag)

You CANNOT simply wait for them to come to you, the oxygen capsules don't drop nearly often enough for you to survive any more than a few minutes if you stand around passively. You MUST seek out the targets to have a chance. Speed is of the essence; HOWEVER, you must also give the spawn points time to do their thing, which means you cannot camp the doors that hide the spawn points. Keep moving to allow enemy spawn.

Hotfix increased the spawn rate; the Mag trick is quite viable (given you have a Trinity to keep up Blessing at later levels).

Also, I just took a look at the leaderboards, and it's very possible that the clan's rating is the average of the best times of participating members.

Initial findings:

-3-man teams are more efficient than 4-man, because the decrease in oxygen consumption outweighs the decrease in firepower considerably.
-AOE weapons such as Torid or Ogris are useful as they eliminate light mobs quickly and ensure a steady supply of oxygen tanks.
